API (A Pleasant Integration)
Okay, so API doesn’t really stand for a pleasant integration (although in many cases it could). It’s actually an acronym for application programming interface. What is that? Well, I asked a couple really smart people to define an API in one sentence. This is what I got, “An API is a way to programmatically interact with our product/website/app/application … however you want to end it.” The other said, “Make my site talk to your site, yo!”
Unfortunately, not all HR apps have an API, so they don’t play well with others. BambooHR, however, has an amazing API that makes integration a breeze.
