We’ll let you be the judge. Check out our Comparably and Glassdoor profile to see what real-life Bambooligans say about working here. (Or, take a peek at our awards page to see some of our workplace awards.)
It’s pretty amazing. Check out our company values and great environment to find out!
All full-time employees qualify, and you can read more about them here.
We do market analysis and carefully grade every position. We believe we have a responsibility to compensate employees fairly and believe that compensation goes beyond a paycheck to include things like benefits, workplace environment, and quality of life.
Make sure your resume illustrates that you have the skills listed in the job description. That’s it. No need to ship a resume with return receipt, build a diorama, hire a skywriter, or call us 100 times (yes, this has actually happened). We appreciate persistence, but that kind of tenacity is…a little too much.
First, you’ll receive a thank-you email to let you know we received your application. If you applied for a specific opening, we’ll review your application carefully and then we’ll reach out—no matter what—to let you know what’s up. If you submitted a general resume application, we likely won’t contact you unless a position opens up that matches your experience.
If you applied for an open position (see above about general applications), chances are really, really good that we reached out. Even if you got the confirmation email when you submitted your application, check your spam folder to be sure our follow-up wasn’t filtered out by your email provider. And if you still can’t find an email from us...contact us! Sometimes (but very rarely) there’s an issue that could cause a delay.
Nope. We Bambooligans love to express our individual styles, but we don’t have a dress code and we don’t think you should feel pressured to dress out of character—up or down—for an interview. Just come as you are and wear whatever makes you comfortable, whether that’s full Carnival regalia or sweats and a tee shirt.
We don’t think it takes a title to be a leader. We believe in people leading from where they are, and our flat organizational structure reflects that value. (We’re big on values. You can check them out here.) Of course we want to help employees grow and achieve their career goals, but if you’re a corporate climber, BambooHR probably isn’t your kind of place.
Of course! If you’re interested in a position or department that isn’t currently open, submit a general application with a note describing the role you’re seeking. We’ll keep it on file and reach out when something opens up.
Whoa there, cowperson! While internal growth and direction changes do happen at BambooHR, those decisions aren’t taken lightly—and they only happen for people with a proven track record of great performance. So, if you don’t see an opening that matches your experience or career path, we’d encourage you to submit a general application and keep an eye out for that position you want. At the same time, we wouldn’t advise anyone to apply for a job they don’t want or aren’t qualified for. That’s a sure-fire way to become dissatisfied, disengaged, or—even worse—a very short-term employee. Any of those outcomes would be a real bummer.
We hear from a lot of qualified candidates, but we like to hire people, not qualifications. A resume only gives us a little hint of what you’re really like as a person, so we use video interviews to get to know applicants on a deeper level. We know it can feel a little awkward (OK, maybe a lot awkward), but trust us—you’re in good company, and nobody is expecting an Academy Award-winning performance. If that doesn’t quell your concerns, you can check out the video below for a few tips.
At this time, the answer is yes. While we do have some remote positions and some departments do allow flexibility in working from home, we also hold all-hands company meetings and team-building activities throughout the year at our Lindon, Utah headquarters. Because of this, we are not able to consider new applicants who plan on living or working outside the state of Utah.
Sorry about that! We wanted to include yours, but there wasn’t enough space. Rest assured, we’ve answered it at some point. You’ll just have to reach out to us.
